The sport of radio-controlled boat racing began in Kuwait in 2006 at a small level among amateurs. This later evolved into the formation of a special radio-controlled boat committee within the Aviation Sciences and Radio-controlled Cars Administration committees, to participate in radio-controlled speedboat races at various local, Gulf, Arab, regional, and international levels.
