The hobby of radio-controlled cars began under the umbrella of the Science Club in 1998. Over time, a special committee was established as part of the Aviation Sciences and Radio-controlled Cars Management Committee in 2001. This committee plays a vital role by offering training, technical, and professional courses in various fields, including car disassembly and assembly, as well as periodic maintenance, follow-up, operational processes, and training on the technical aspects of this hobby. The Scientific Club has provided a dedicated track for this sport, equipped with state-of-the-art equipment, comparable to international tracks. The committee's most notable achievements include:

Off-Road Category
  • Participating and representing Kuwait every two years in the iFMAR World Championship since 2010.
  • Participating and representing Kuwait annually in the FEMCA Off-Road Championship Asia since 2009.
  • Participating and representing Kuwait in the 2019 DXR Dirt Kings Race for Radio-controlled Cars, held at Harper Adams University in Newport, UK, with the participation of 210 competitors from around the world. This championship is one of the oldest in radio-controlled car racing.
  • Organizing the 2016 Middle East International Radio-controlled Car Championship (Camel Classic 2016), hosted by Kuwait, represented by the Scientific Club, for the first time in the Middle East, in cooperation with the Asian Radio-controlled Car Federation. 40 competitors representing various countries, including world champions in this sport, participated, in addition to 28 Kuwaiti competitors.
  • Organizing the local radio-controlled car racing league annually on the Scientific Club race track.
Drag Race category
  • Organizing the Gulf Radio-controlled Car Racing Championship annually, under the slogan "Challenge the Best Time" on the Scientific Club race track, with the participation of racers from various GCC countries.
